Why Not the £79 One?
You will find fire risk assessments advertised in London from £79. Here is what you are comparing.
| What you compare | Typical £79 to £195 offer | SeeForth Fire Safety |
|---|---|---|
| Who assesses | Level 3 or Level 4 qualified, sometimes a technician from the same firm's alarm or extinguisher side | NSA Level 6 Diploma holder, the highest individual qualification for this work |
| Independence | Usually a company that also sells and installs fire alarms, doors, extinguishers and emergency lighting | The report is written before any works are discussed. You get an accurate report, then help with what to fix first |
| What the report is for | Often a certificate to satisfy a licence or a solicitor | A document that stands up to the fire service, your insurer and your board, and a plan you can act on |
| Report time | Varies; "24 to 48 hours" at the top end | Within 48 hours of the visit, every time |
| Price | Low entry price; travel, congestion and extras often added | One fixed fee shown before you book |
If the £79 report is all you need, buy it. If the building has people sleeping in it, shared escape routes, or a history nobody can account for, you are paying for the judgement of the person who walks it. That is what the difference buys.
Booking questions
How does booking work?
Choose a date on the booking page. You receive a confirmation with the fixed quotation and a payment link. Payment secures the date and the assessor. You then complete a short pre-inspection form so the assessor arrives briefed.
What if I am not sure which type I need?
Tell us about the building through the contact page. We recommend the type in writing, with the price, before you book. There is no charge for that.
Do you cover my area?
Our assessors cover London, Essex, Hertfordshire, Cambridge, Bedfordshire and Suffolk. For a building outside those, ask: for a portfolio we travel.
Is VAT added?
Yes. Prices shown exclude VAT at 20%. SeeForth Services Ltd is VAT registered, number 270 4056 27.
Do portfolios get a different rate?
Yes. Five buildings or fifty, we price per site at a portfolio rate, programme the visits and give you one report format across the lot. Book a free portfolio gap-check and we will tell you where you stand before you spend anything.
