For the Practice Manager, the Owner, the Tenant Who Signs the Lease

Units Inside Larger Buildings
A dental practice on the ground floor of a block, a takeaway in a parade, an office on the third floor: your escape route runs through parts you do not control. We assess your premises in full and record the shared parts as an explicit exclusion, with a recommendation that the landlord's own arrangements are confirmed in writing. That protects you if the question is ever asked.
What the Law Expects of a Small Business
Every workplace needs a fire risk assessment under the Regulatory Reform (Fire Safety) Order 2005, and since October 2023 it must be recorded in full whatever the headcount. For a very small, simple premises you can do it yourself with the government checklist. Most owners ask us because the premises has sleeping accommodation above it, members of the public in it, or a landlord and an insurer both asking for the document.
What the Report Gives You
A PAS 79-1 report with photographs, a risk rating, and an action plan that separates the legal must-dos from the good-practice should-dos, so you spend where it matters. Report within 48 hours; certificate for the file; practical guidance on what to fix first.
